Frequently Asked Questions
At its core, Ready & Able University is about community and knowledge sharing. RAU is an advocacy and training academy designed to support students with disabilities — along with their parents or guardians — successfully transition from high school to college. We provide the tools and lived experience needed to navigate the accommodations request process, paperwork, and college life with confidence and clarity.
You can join through the “Join” button at the bottom of the plans page. Once you have joined the RAU community you will gain access to the online classes, community, and support services. If you require support, please connect with us through our contact us form and we will assist accordingly.
It is. No hidden fees. No fine print. No catch. At RAU, we believe true access means affordability — full stop. We know college preparation support is often priced out of reach, and that’s exactly what we’re pushing back against. RAU exists to make support for students with disabilities accessible in every sense of the word. You’ll be charged $15/month, cancel anytime, and if you cancel mid-month, you’ll keep access until the next billing cycle. That’s it.
Our $15/month membership is designed to make essential accessibility training, resources, and community support affordable to most everyone. Premium add-on services exist for students and families who want or need more individualized, time-intensive support — such as 1:1 coaching, personalized document review, or advocacy guidance. If we bundled everything together, the base price would increase, and that would limit access for many students with disabilities. Add-ons are optional, never required, and exist to meet different needs at different stages. Keeping them optional allows us to protect access to core resources while still offering deeper support when needed, while remaining true to our values.
Yes. RAU offers educational accounts for school districts, individual schools, colleges, and other educational organizations. If your institution is interested in opening an account, please contact us through the Contact Us form, and a member of our team will assist you with the process.
RAU endeavors to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which are widely recognized as the standard for web accessibility in the United States. Our accessibility efforts support compliance with applicable federal laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, where applicable.
Accessibility is integrated into our design, development, and content practices. We regularly review our digital content to identify and address accessibility barriers and to improve compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and alternative input devices.
While we work to ensure full accessibility, if you experience difficulty accessing any content, functionality, or materials, or if you require an accommodation or alternative format, please contact us through our Contact Us form. We will respond promptly and work with you to provide appropriate support.
