wHERE PASSION MEETS PURPOSE
Community is at the heart of who we are. This is our space to connect, share, and support one another. A place where knowledge meets wisdom, and everyone belongs.
As a woman with multiple hidden disabilities, I created this space with passion and purpose. Professionally, I’ve worked as a Social Security Disability Expert, Certified ADA Coordinator, Disability Employment Support Specialist, built a Disability Employment Support program, was a Workforce Development Disability Coordinator/Navigator, worked as a Supported Community Living Staff member, provided Respite Care Services, was a day camp counselor for individuals with disabilities, served on my cities ADA compliance board, and oversaw College Disability Accommodations. Although I have worn many different hats, navigating the complex disability systems is at the root of it all. If you have a question about any aspect of the many disability systems students navigate, we are a one-stop shop.
Over the years, while overseeing college accommodations, I noticed most students arrived unprepared, not through any fault of their own. They often had pieces of information, but not the complete picture. What was missing was the practical insight that comes from lived experience and knowing how accommodations work in real college settings. This unfairly put them at such a disadvantage to their non-disabled peers. RAU was created to change that.
At the heart of RAU is the belief that access to information is a right, not a privilege. That’s why we prioritize delivering extremely high-value services at an affordable price, so every student has an equal opportunity to succeed in college.
Thank you for being part of this community and for letting me be part of your journey. It’s an honor to be alongside students and families as you prepare for college and beyond. Together, we can make the process less overwhelming, more empowering, and full of the support you deserve.
